Biography:

JOHN HUGHES , born 1972 in Rochester, New York. After musical studies at the Montgomery Community College he studied bass with Vattel Cherry . In Baltimore he joined the John Dierker Ensemble where he already met Jeff Arnal and played with such musicians as Toshi Makihara, Will Redman, and Jonathan Vincent. Since 1999 he lives as a freelance musician in Hamburg, Germany. In the U.S. Hughes performs with various ensembles in many festivals. With guitarist Jerry Lim, he recorded a duo-CD for Mass Particles in 1997. |
